Apparently they don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo in France.
And apparently the holiday commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
I guess it makes sense why the French aren't feeling festive.
And so, sadly, there shall be no nacho-eating, no corona-drinking, and no sombrero-wearing for me tonight.
